Comedy MBM Final Four

The Final Four is set and we have two #1 seeds and two underdogs a #5 and #6 seed advance. We will take a look at each match up and their path to the Final Four.

Game 1 – Ghostbuster #1 seed from the Norton Bracket vs. Uncle Buck #6 seed from the Carson Bracket

Ghostbusters written by Harold Ramis beat Baby Mama, Office Space, Hangover and Caddyshack while gathering 102 total votes.

The underdog Uncle Buck written by John Hughes beat Kentucky Fried Movie, Tommy Boy, Spaceballs and the Great Outdoors while earning 100 votes.

Game 2 – Animal House #1 seed from the Letterman Bracket vs. Billy Madison #5 seed from the Leno Bracket

College

Animal House also written by Harold Ramis beat Identity Thief, Blues Brothers, Revenge of the Nerds and Old School while collecting the most total votes in the tournament 111.

Billy Madison written by Adam Sandler beat the Jerk, Trading Places, Dumb and Dumber and Happy Gilmore while obtaining 109 votes the second most in the tournament.

A couple things to look at these movies but all movies are the writers and the cast of Saturday Night Live. Uncle Buck is the only movie in the Final Four that does not have a SNL member in the cast. The three writers of the four movies in the Final Four have an impressive list of movies on their resume.

Harold Ramis – Animal House, Meatballs, Caddyshack, Stripes, Back to School, Armed and Dangerous, Groundhog Day, Analyze This, Analyze That, Ghostbusters and he wrote the characters for Ghostbusters three due out in a couple years.

John Hughes – National Lampoon’s Vacation, Sixteen Candles, Mr. Mom, National Lampoon’s European Vacation, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Miracle on 34 Street (new version), Planes Trains and Automobiles, Great Outdoor’s Uncle Buck, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, Home Alone, Dutch, Home Alone 2, all the Beethoven’s and new family vacation movie coming out soon.

Adam Sandler – Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, Grown Ups, Grown Ups 2, Little Nicky, Eight Crazy nights, You Don’t Mess with the Zohan, Bucky Larson Born to be a Star, Jack n’ Jill and coming out soon The Ridiculous 6, Hotel Transylvania and Pixels.

Pixels catches the Bracket Brother’s eyes because it is about video game characters coming to life. The next bracket might have something to do with video games.

Now for the predictions.

Ghostbuster will narrowly beat Uncle Buck and Animal House finds a way to beat Billy Madison to set up the all Harold Ramis championship.

Billy might of passed the third grade but he failed his 5th test in the Comedy MBM! Go and Vote!
