Angles over Indians

Tyler Skaggs was hit a bit against the Mariners in his latest outing. He has been decent in his two years with the Angels and faces an Indians line up that is not very scary. Carlos Carrasco last two starts have been scary. The awful Yankees line up beat him on August 7th and prior to that the Twins lit him up for 8 runs in less than 4 innings of work. Yeah the Twinkies beat him up.
Saturday August 13
Yankees over Rays Matt Andriese threw 75 pitches in his last start against the Twins. He should last a little longer in this one versus the Yankees his second start since returning to the rotation. Mashiro Tanaka owns the Rays in his career. Undefeated 3-0 and the Rays can barely bat .200 against him. The big question is will the Yankees score enough runs to win?
Nationals over Braves I will be in attendance for this one so of course I am going to make a pick. Tanner Roark has been solid all year for the Nat’s and he gets rookie Robbie Whalen. Tough break with tickets as Strasburg going the day before and Scherzer going the next day. Roark should be pretty good in this one as he is 4-1 against the Braves and keeps their bats in check with a batting average agaisnt just above .200.
Rockies over Phillies The Rockies had won the last 5 Tyler Anderson starts until the Rangers put an end to that streak with a 4-3 win on August 8th. You can hardly blame Anderson who threw 7 innings of 2 hit 1 run baseball. The Bullpen gave up 3 in the ninth to blow the game.  Jerad Eickoff was beat pretty badly earlier in the year by the Rockies giving up 8 runs in 5 innings. That was in Colorado so it really shouldn’t count. The way Anderson and the Rockies have been playing since the break even with Jerad Eickoff’s nice home splits (2.92 era with a .243 batting average against) you still need to take the Rocks in this one.
Sunday August 14th
Reds/Brewers over Runs Cody Reed of the Reds is 0-6 this year and the Reds are 0-9 in his starts. I am not going to bet against the rookie though because old friend Wily Peralta is back in the starting rotation for the Brewers. One eyed Wily is back and bad as before. The DL stint for Junior Guerra meant someone had to join the rotation and apparently WIly is the Brewers go to emergency throw gas on the fire guy. Take the over in runs. Chances are neither of these two last enough to earn a win and the shitty Reds bullpen means some licky reliever from the Brewers will get a victory. I am just going to take the over in runs to play it safe.
