NFL week 1 and College Football week 2 Picks Card

The Week 1 NFL and College Football Picks Card from the Gambling Chalk Talk Podcast Guys.

Guaranteed 4 NFL Picks from Coach. In the words of Tommy Boy “I can get a good look at a T-bone by sticking my head up a bull’s ass, but I’d rather take a butcher’s word for it.” These picks are umm guaranteed just like Tommy said in this clip.

Bengals -2.5 over Jets. The Bengals have no Tyler Eifert because of an injury in the stupid Pro-Bowl. They are missing linebacker Vontaze Burfict because he is nuttier than a squirrel. Mohammed Sanu is now catching passes from Matty Ice in Atlanta. The do have a home grown team that has a lot of depth, a solid running game and AJ Green. The Jets have Matt Forte on the downside of his career, Brandon Marshall who will have a tough time repeating his numbers from last year of +100 receptions, over 1500 yards and 14 touchdowns. I have a tough time believing that Ryan Fitzpatrick repeats his 31 touchdown to only 15 interception performance. The biggest difference in 2016 for the Jets will be that the schedule is much tougher than the cream puffs they beat up for 10 wins in 2015. The Bengals will win by a touchdown or more in this one.

Ravens -3 over Bills. The Ryan brothers return to Baltimore and it will be a disappointing return. The Ravens were jinxed and beset with injuries most of 2015 and their fortunes will change this year. They have a championship level quarterback in Joe Flacco that loves to throw the deep ball. They actually gave him some speedy receivers that can get down the field and get the ball in Mike Wallace and a health Breshad Perriman. Tyrod Taylor had a good year in 2015 but still is not proven and if he is off it will be tough to get the ball to their best player Sammy Watkins. The defense for Buffalo was bad last year and comes into game one a little beat up. The Ravens start their 2016 redemption tour with a beat down against the Bills.

Packers-5.5 over Jaguars. There is a ton of hype surrounding the Jaguars. They had a few good games in 2015 and signed some talent but they have gone 19-61 the past 5 years while playing in the shitty AFC South. They really need to prove they can win and win against a good team before I start picking them to beat anyone nevermind one of the best teams in the NFC. The Packers are better in every area of the game compared to the Jags. They are also better in every position on the field except for Wide Receiver but the Pack are still very solid in that area. It doesn’t matter that it’s hot in Jacksonville all teams have been practicing in miserable heat for over a month now. Pack win by double digits.

Giants pick em over Cowboys. The G-Men have the best Wide Receiver group in the NFL with ODJ, Victor Cruz, Sterling Sheppard and Dwayne Harris. Yes, I include Dwayne Harris he made some big catches last year and does a great job in the return game. The Giants made some upgrades on defense to run Spagano’s system, JPP has a healthier club hand and showed the ability to get in the backfield all preseason. The Cowboy defense is their weakness and they will be missing Rolando McClain, Demarcus Lawrence and Randy Gregory out due to suspension. The Giants offensive line is their weakness but will get a bit of relief due to the Cowboy indiscretions. The Cowboy offense is their strength, great offensive line, Dez Bryant, Jason Witten, Ezekiel Elliott but will be missing the straw that stirs the drink for them Tony Romo. Dak Prescott might be the second coming of Russell Wilson as a mid round pick with leadership qualities and confidence to lead a team but he is not Romo. The ability of Romo to scrammble, his sixth sense connection with Witten and ability to pull plays out his ass that always kill the Giants will be tough to replace. Giants win even with the shitty Josh Brown karma, just cut him already.

College Football Picks Week 2

Picks from Coach

N.C. State -3.5 over East Carolina L N.C. State replaces Jacoby Brissett (now with New England Patriots) and but got some confidence last week in a 48 point performance against WIlliam and Mary. East Carolina has to deal with a coaching change this year and a switch of offensive systems. Take the Wolfpack on the road and lay the points.
UCLA -26.6 over UNLV L UCLA will be a highly motivated team after last weeks loss to A&M. The strength of UNLV’s team is their offense but they will get held back by one of the best defenses in college football. The young UCLA offense will put up plenty of points to cover the spread.
Michigan -34.5 over Central Florida W Central Florida actually won the Fiesta Bowl just 3 years ago. How times have changed since then. Scott Forst former Cornhusker is now the new coach and they travel to Ann Arbor. Jim Harbaugh will have the Wolverines playing with the pedal to the medal. Take Michigan who will win by 50.
Baylor -32 over SMU L SMU is making strides to become a better team. Last year their offense improved dramatically but not enough to keep up with an offense like Baylor. The Baylor defense is in rebuild in the front four but it won’t matter in this one. Take the National Title Contender Bears and lay the points.
Washington -37 over Idaho W Jake Browning is now longer a first year freshman at quarterback and the offense is in great shape. The Huskies already have one of the top defenses in the Pac 12. Idaho is about to transition and leave the Sun Belt conference and the FBS to join the Big Sky Conference and the FCS. Two teams literally moving in opposite directions with their football programs, take the Huskies.
Washington State +12 over Boise State W Mke Leach is in his fifth year at WSU and the offense is now rolling like it once did in his time at Texas Tech. The defense lost a lot from last year but is still decent. Boise State is a National Title contender as I said last week but this game will be a dog fight and 12 points is way to much to cover against a strong Cougars offense, take the points and Washington State.
Other games of Interest that I backed off of for one reason or an other
Cincy -7 over Purdue Purdue has a lot of experience, at home and coach fight for his job
Uconn +3.5 over Navy Low scoring game but not sure if Uconn can put up enough points
San Diego State -7 over Cal SDSU is a run first offense and I don’t trust them to finish this game off and win by a TD or more.
Arizona State -3 over Texas Tech Texas Tech gambles on defense could lead to big plays for either team, Tex Tech has a good QB and WR and that scared me from taking AZ State that is usually very strong at home.
Virginia Tech +10.5 over Tennessee Tennessee is a team I can’t figure out. They are capable of losing this game or winning by 50.
Miami -24 over Florida Atlantic Florida Atlantic has a veteran team that plays big time schools all the time. This one will end right around that number.
Ohio State -28.5 over Tulsa Tulsa has a good offense and could put up some late points against the third stringers and cover the spread.
Wake Forest +8.5 over Duke I think Wake could win this one but Duke has beat them 4 straight times and are well coached.
Clemson +34 over Troy Troy has a good effense and an improved defense. They are another team like Tulsa that could put up late points against the back ups to cover

The Joker’s think about it for 5 seconds pull a team out of my ass and still go 4-1 picks for Week 2. Dan who lacks a nick name and AK47 will add some picks from time to time as well.
