NFL Championship Week Picks

NFL Picks for Championship Round Playoff Games – Records – Last Week 3-1 (Overall) 37-36-3

Packers +4.5 at Falcons – I am not sure how I or anyone can pick against Aaron Rodgers at this point. He freaking won the game drawing a play on the ground in the field turf of Jerry World last week. They were missing their two best receivers and their running back is actually a converted wide receiver.  This makes no sense at all but you take the Packers because they have done this before with Rodgers in 2010 and we have seen the Giants do this twice with Eli Manning. In 2010 the Packers beat a NFC East team, Eagles in the wild card round the Atlanta Falcons the #1 seed in the divisional round and then the Bears to get to the Super Bowl where they beat the Steelers (rematch???) There are an awful lot of similarities between the 2010 Packers and this years team, take the hot hand even if Atlanta is the superior team and have dominated all season long.

Steelers +5.5 at Patriots – The AFC is really the New England Patriots invitational. The only question is will Big Ben make that big a difference in this game. The Pats won in Pittsburgh without Big Ben in a less than dominating performance. I am taking the Patriots for a different reason, no distractions. The Patriots are always a team on a mission and will not let trivial things get in the way of winning. The Steelers in post game speech by Big Ben tried to echo those same sentiments to his own Steelers. The unfortunate part is a dumb ass receiver was in the back of the room live streaming Big Ben and Coach Tomlin to the world. No team wins a Super Bowl with an a-hole wide receiver.  Good-Bye Pittsburgh.
