MLB Picks
Friday June 24th
Cardinals over Mariners Carlos Martinez pitched terrible in May but his June has been great against quality teams (Giants, Pirates and Rangers). Wade LeBlanc is scheduled to start for the M’s. He is a journey pitcher between 2008 and 2016 with a whip of 1.42 that gives up way to many walks.
Indians over Tigers Danny Salazar is undefeated in June. In his last start he walked only one after walking 9 in his previous 2 starts. This is his first start of the year against Detroit, has not pitched well versus Detroit the previous 3 years.  Jordan Zimmerman has cooled off significantly after a 5-0 April. His ERA in May and June is just slightly below 5.
Saturday June 25th
Rays over Orioles (game 1) Mike Andriese returns from the pen to make a spot start for the Rays. He has pitched very well against as a starter and like him if he faces  Kevin Gausman. If he has to face Chris Tillman stay away from the Rays and Andriese.
A’s/Angels over runs (?? Surkamp has been bumped to Friday let’s see who the A’s replace him with) Eric Surkamp and Jouhlys Chacin throw batting practice in Anahiem. Take the over in runs.
Giants over Phillies Madison Bumgarner stud pitcher against a reeling Phillies on the road. Jeremy Hellickson starts for the Phillies and despite him pitching decently they have lost his last 6 starts.
Sunday June 26th
A’s over Angels Sonny Gray has looked like a top of the rotation guy since coming of the DL. The last 3 years he has gone 5-2 with an ERA slightly above 3 with a BAA of .213  against the Angels. His stats at Angels stadium in 3 starts 1.52 ERA with 5 runs, a .167 BAA and 25K’s to 6 walks. Hector Santiago has pitched well in his last 2 starts but has struggled in May and June. He did beat the A’s back in April but gave up 4 runs in the process.
Giants over Phillies Johnny Cueto another Giant stud pitcher. A WHIP under 1 and ERA just above 2.  Aaron Nola has given up 20 runs in his past 3 starts. A bad weekend for the Phillies.
