MLB Picks
Friday July 1st
Red Sox over Angels I must be freaking nuts taking the Red Sox again. Steven Wright takes the hill their ace this year. The Angels have been sputtering in June 8-17 record. The Red Sox better take advantage of this weak opponent like the Orioles have been or the hot seat will be on BROIL for John Farrell. Johlys freaking Chacin can the Sox offense take advantage of this one already. How the hell did they lose 2 of 3 to the Rays who had lost 11 straight games for crying out loud.
Tigers over Rays Michael Fulmer has given up 2 runs in June. He left his last start with dizziness so he is rested. Drew Smyly fro Arkansas goes for the Rays he got shelled by Baltimore last time out. The Orioles that’s a team that knows how to take advantage of a shitty opponent. I hate the freaking Rays, why couldn’t Smyly have pitched against the Sox. The just beat the Sox 2 out of 3. This might be an emotional pick, beware.
Astros over White Sox Astros have been hot lately 16-9 going into the final day of June. Mike Fiers has been very good since the Calendar turned to June allowing only 10 runs all month. The White Sox are 10-14 in June with 2 games left. Good thing the beat up on the Red Sox last week or it would have been an even F-Uglier month. Miguel Gonzalez takes the ball for the White SOx and seeing how he only pitches well against the freaking Red Sox this should be a safe bet.
Giants over D-Backs Johnny Cueto for the Giants. He is 11-1 pitches well on the road or at home. He is actually slightly better on the road. Shelby Miller goes for the D-Backs. What the hell happened to this kid he was great for the Braves at one point. He should drop the B from his first name and just go be Shell Miller. He is a shell of his former self or he is always gett shelled you pick the one line you like best when you place that wager.
A’s over Pirates Sonny Gray the Vanderbilt alum goes versus Jeff Locke of the Pirates. I am a believer of Sonny Gray and despite the A’s going 1-4 in his 5 June starts he pitched well. I mean what could go wrong with a Vanderbilt pitcher, look how well David Price has been for the Red Sox. Ughh!!! Never mind stay away from this game or bet on Jeff Locke and the Pirates. Freaking Vanderbilt, freaking Red Sox.
Orioles over Mariners Kevin Gausman sucks, especially on the road. I am just making this pick to reverse jinx the Orioles. Wade LeBlanc goes for the Mariners the Oriole might put 15 runs up on him. I mean what are the chances Wade LeBlanc makes two good starts in a row.
Dodgers over Rockies (Stay away Kershaw is now on the DL) Clayton Kershaw got beat his last time out.  The last time the Dodgers lost 2 Kershaw starts in a row was August 18 and 23rd of last year. He gave up 1 run in both of those games getting a no decision.  The last time he actually lost 2 starts in a row June 27th and June 22nd of last year. He lost the start before that also for 3 in a row. Jorge De La Rosa goes for the Rockies he has given up 19 runs in 4 road starts spanning 16 innings this year.
Saturday July 2nd
Royals over Phillies Going against the Phillies again I guess I won’t learn. Danny Duffy hasn’t given up more than 3 runs in a start all of June. He gave up 13 runs in 36 innings while going 3-1 for the Royals. Aaron Nola goes for the Phils and he won his first start in June with 6 innings of shutout ball. He then proceeded to give up 4,6,7,and 5 in his next 4 starts. The Royals pitching might be questionable but there offense will be just fine against Nola. The big questions is can Nola actually pitch 5 innings in this one.
Giants/D-Backs over Runs Jeff Samardzija and his ugly ass mustache go against Patrick Corbin. Smardizja has been bad as of late giving up 6 runs in his past 2 starts. He will probably give up 6 in this start for the 6,6,6. He could be a devil worshipper, check out his profile Pic on ESPN it’s creepy as fuck. He must of pissed someone off in Bristol. Did he turn to the devil after all those years at Notre Dame?  Patrick Corbin has been consistent all year with an era of about 5 each month.
Cubs over Mets Jake Arrieta has given up 3 runs and 17 hits in 27 innings versus the Mets the past 3 seasons. He has not been as effectives as of late and the Cubs have not been the juggernaut everyone wanted to give the title to back in May. Bartolo Colon has pitched well against the Cubs the past 3 years with a 1.29 era and a .226 baa but has zero wins to show for that effort. Despite the Mets amazing ability to screw over my brother Joel, I am going to make a pick involving the Mets and hope it’s not a genetic disease also know as Metsfuckyouoveritis.
Sunday July 3rd
Rangers over Twins I had a pretty nice run picking Rangers game but stayed away thinking they would fade with all the starting pitching injuries and because they played the Red Sox and I didn’t want to pick against my team. Cole Hamels is thankfully not injured and is facing the Twins. He has had only 1 start vs. the Twins the past 3 years and gave up 2 runs in 6 innings. Kyle Gibson of the Twins looked like Don Freaking Drysdale thanks to the Chicago White Sox last start. Nice job Pale Hose. The only good thing about the WHite Sox collapse is that my under wins bet looks solid and CHris Sale could get traded to the Red Sox.
Astros over White Sox I could say this is a case of a hot team versus a cold team, and it is but….This is more of a hate pick. Jose Quintana has been losetastic for the past 2 months as his only win in that time frame has been to the Red Sox when he gave up 6 freaking runs. Great job Red Sox bullpen. Hate the White Sox and Quintana and can wish for nothing else for them to lose miserable to Houston. Collin McHugh with two L’s in his first name better not get an L in this game keep all the damn L’s for your name. He has been ok as of late pitched well against the Cardinals in a win and beat the Angels in his past two starts. Freaking White Sox.
Brewers/Cardinals over runs Michael Wacha of the Cards pitched decently in June but I still don’t trust him or the rotten Cardinals. He did throw 6 innings of shut out ball versus the Brew Crew way back on April 11th. Chase Anderson of the Brewers pitches well against the bad teams and gets hit pretty hard versus the good teams. Are the Cardinals a good team? I guess sometimes just not when i pick them to win so I am taking the over in runs because I don’t trust the Cards, Wacha and Anderson is a bit of a hit machine. Fuck the Cardinals.
Braves over Marlins Matt Wisler pitched 1 inning vs. the Marlins back in April. His numbers don’t look as good as they did prior to June but that is due to a tough 2 game stretch where he gave up 8 runs to the Dodgers on June 5th. He followed up that gem with a 5 run allowed beauty versus the Cubs. He has been his effective self since then and even pitched well in a loss against a super hot Indians team. Adam Conley threw an 8 inning shutout last time versus the Braves on June 22nd. On May 27th in Atlanta he only allowed 2 runs but gave up 8 hits throwing 90 pitches in 4 and 1/3 innings work. This has been Conley M.O. this season pitching well at home and not so much on the road. I am glad this is the Sunday night game just in case all my hateful fuck you picks all weekend turn out to be shit.
